Figurative works
Early years, working in bronze.
I began sculpting in a classical, figurative way, but over time, that manner of expression felt too constrained. Gradually my focus shifted from the figure, to the essence.I focused on portraying the “soul”, rather than the surface, of my models. The early works, produced during those initial years, were steps toward a deeper looking, at my art and in myself.
After this “bronze age”, I turned toward stone, and haven’t looked back.
